Operations and Outreach Coordinator
Rachel joined CLERC in June 2022, bringing with her 20 years of hands-on experience in the environmental field. Her expertise in non-profit management and information technology systems provides her with a distinctive viewpoint on operational management and effectively communicating an organization's mission. Rachel is excited about the opportunity to work with CLERC, recognizing its growing significance, and is eager to share the organization's remarkable efforts in addressing climate change and preserving the unique ecosystems of Lake County and our surrounding communities.
Rachel is a passionate environmentalist who has had a lifelong connection with nature, thanks to her upbringing in Sonoma County, California. She holds a BS in Environmental Science from Saint Mary's College of CA and has over 20 years of experience in wildlife rehabilitation. Rachel co-founded the Wild Neighbors Database Project, which focuses on developing online data management systems to assist wildlife professionals and promote One Health. She also collaborates with UC Davis's Oiled Wildlife Care Network and served as the President of the California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators for four years. Rachel excels in information technology and community outreach, and her diverse experiences have equipped her with a wide range of valuable skills.
