Partner resources
CLERC is all about working together. We lead in some areas, help in others, and it's built on strong relationships based on talking openly and sharing responsibilities. In the coming years, we'll keep up strong partnerships and communication with local governments, Tribal partners, and others in the community. We'll keep supporting partners where we can and create tools to be better prepared for new opportunities and challenges.
Featured Partners
NorthSHore Fire Protection District
We have established a close partnership with the Northshore Fire Protection District, notably in the creation of the Hogback Ridge Fuels Crew, which has played a vital role in supporting Lake County's extensive fuels reduction efforts. Our collaboration extends to various fuel reduction projects across the county, including the community chipping program.
CalFire
The majority of our grant funding and opportunities are generously provided by CalFire grants. Following the successful completion of several grant projects, we establish a robust partnership with CalFire, actively participating in the implementation of their projects as well.
US Forest Service
We have partnered with the US Forest Service on a forest health project that will be implemented in the Mendocino National Forest to conduct fuel reduction and restoration activities in the fire-impacted areas of the Mendocino National Forest.
CalTrans
We work closely with CalTrans on evacuation route hazardous fuel reduction projects all over Lake County.
SOuth Lake Fire safe Council
South Lake Fire Safe Council (SLFSC) has continuously been a sub-awardee of several of CLERC’s grant. They had successfully been implementing a chipping program for years before CLERC turned up. In order to help their efforts and create a more sustainable program, CLERC has set aside some of their funding to go directly to SLFSC to continue their program.
